Primary vs secondary search

I discovered something interesting while doing a search on RCI weeks. I was doing a search for a Myrtle Beach week in March. I used an ongoing search week and just modified the secondary search week to request the MB times I wanted and I received only 2 hits, neither of which was acceptable. I immediately searched again using the same dates etc but made the MB week my primary search. This time I got 11 hits (including the 2 from the original search).

I have no clue what logic in the RCI system would cause a week to draw signifcantly better if listed as a primary request but beware.

I've suspected this a time or two in the past, to the point that I sometimes never used the secondary field. Then I'll go a long time without seeing it, so I thought it was just my imagination.

I'll have to do some tinkering with this again. Thanks for bringing it up.

Sheila
