We just had a Thanksgiving buffet in a Resort area of western MD. Good buffet, no salad bar, no big ice trays of fruits, cheeses or anything, but all the usual plus roast beef, ham, shrimp & deserts. Price $29.95pp.

I asked in another thread about Thanksgiving at the Royal Resort, heard this back:
At the Tri's the Tradewinds and Cayo Largo are offering a Thanksgiving Buffett with three seatings priced at $30USD with kids half price and under 6 free.

Two buffets, same holiday meal, two countries, the same price. Looking for other experiences on prices to compare. I feel like when we first went to Cancun in 2003, hotel zone restaurant prices were half of those at home in DC, recent years no real price difference, about the same both places. Recall Cancun in total deliberately raising their "standards" ie prices a couple years ago. Seems to be the case, wonder how it's working out for them?

Caribbean night buffet at Royal Haciendas was $24 pp. Only one in four of our party selected the buffet. My impression was that there were more dishes and variety on the buffet, however we still tend to order off the menu rather than the buffet.

The fajita night feature at RC was in the $20 to $24 range also.
