Last November (2006), did a Timber Lodge preview tour, got a $100 gift certificate. We did a Grand Chateau tour in June (2007), got 15k MRPs. Going to Timber Lodge in a couple of weeks...thinking about taking a preview tour for $100 gift certif, again. I just call Ko Olina and setup a Dec 10 tour for 15k MRPs.

Question - is there a limit per year on taking previews for MRPs and/or other monetary gifts???

If you have to ask, you are doing to many and should just enjoy your vacation

I used to think it was every 6 months but then we did one in August (2007) at HH. Had friends staying with us and they wanted to go, so we went too (each couple got $75 GC, same appt. time, separate presentations). Then when we were at NCV 2 weeks ago (Nov 2007), we didn't think we could do another because of the August one and told them so when they asked us to take the tour. But they said no, they had looked us up and were aware of the August one and we could still do it. So we did and got 15,000 MRP's. Those tours were less than 3 months apart.

seems to be at discretion of the resort. we may not do the timber lodge one as we have just a few days there (dang work and kids' school getting in way of things : ( )

Holiday spirit...

Hold on now - call the resort's sales gallery and get the answer, maybe even get an eMail if the answer is YES (just in case).

Turning down Marriott's gift, especially at this time of the year, just isn't keeping with the holiday season. Gifts should be accepted with humility and a smile, a hearty handshake shows you appreciate their gesture.

Timber called me today and begged me to tour...ok 10k MRP's though. Plus, if I book before I go, I get another $25 to fireandice (restaurant on site). They confirmed even w/ GC and Ko Olina, they are ok with this since my last Timber tour was 11/29/2006 (one yr limit - which seems to be a resort specific rule)

Hey Perry, thanks for kicking my butt, I've been a scrooge the past couple of year - you know work can do that to you sometimes : (

I just realized...f I take pts here is our grand total this year, excluding MRP due to cred card spending:

GC 15k
Timber L 10k
Ko Olina 15k
AA Visa card 21k
Opening MR Visa (wife) 20k

Total = 81k points,,,not too shabby, maybe I should have a little smile on my face : )
