I also booked Acre restaurant with the new Chase Sapphire restaurant bonus. Will go there while at Azul because it is closer

Cannot wait.
I booked Lumbre and Carbon Cabron during our next trip - we have two CSRs. We go to Acre occasionally when we're at Flora Farms; it's a decent place to go but I figured we'd try a couple new ones.

Is that the new $150 Open Table bonus? I've only seen US restaurants listed. We've got a few in Carlsbad and Encinitas. The new terms don't kick in until later in October.

Yes already booked for Feb visit.

There are few restaurants close to where we live

I've seen mixed comments about whether one needs to book with Open Table, or just make sure it's on the approved list and, of course, use the Sapphire. Also, I see no easy way to find eligible restaurants on the app. Just by going to the relevant link in a browser. It seems cumbersome to use. Then again, it's only twice a year, so that may not be a biggie.

Cheers.

A nice place in Encinitas has regular availability and says Sapphire near the reservation. The fancy French place in Carlsbad has reservation times but doesn’t say Sapphire next to the times.

Don’t confuse the Sapphire table availability in open table with being on the list of restaurants that give the credit. They’re different benefits with unfortunately similar indications.

It will be worth checking to see if Acre is still on the list before you go there. Looking at the list now, there are no longer any restaurants in Mexico listed - just in the U.S. Fortunately, we have back up plans to use the credit in NYC, though even there the eligible restaurants have changed.

Yeah. I was just looking and the eligible restaurants have a banner that says something like "Curated for Chase Sapphire." When clicked it indicates potential availability of held tables and the $300 credit.

After reading here, just booked Hell's Kitchen in Vegas for a stay we have in December. Looking at the menu, we will not likely spend $150, but it seems that it can be done in multiple chunks.

Cheers.

Best to reverify it's still on the list. They've been changing it.

Yeah, saw your previous comment. It's on the list now, but I will be paranoid and check. OTOH, the menu does look good anyway :)

Cheers.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you to go to some random restaurants without a credit....

Indeed. Fortunately, it's easy to check on the app now that I know how to do it. And we can grab something else closer in if need be as it's a Tuesday.

Cheers.

Kindly share for the rest of us...

Well, not sure I can make it concise as I did a bunch of stuff and don't recall, specifically, what did it.

I found this particular link in a Reddit discussion

http://opentable.com/Sapphire-Reserve-Dining

I followed this and it talked about adding my eligible card, so I clicked it. It verified me by phone number and sent a code. I already have the eligible card in there. Then, since this was on my phone, it had the "open Appo" banner and I did.

Now, when I open the app, I see a clear banner at the top that I can click. So, it seems to know that I have an eligible card and I can use that banner to search by destination.

This like the elusive Hilton Resort credit; it is listed until it is not. I was only able to see U.S. restaurants in the first link. But then was able to find this which includes Mexico. Does Sapphire $150 Credit apply or not? If not, bye bye Acre. Very confusing!

I think Visa Infinite is a different benefit than Sapphire. It’s so confusing having two different benefits for the same thing. My local restaurants say Sapphire near the time rather than Visa.

There are two different lists of restaurants - Chase Sapphire Exclusive tables and Visa Dining Collection. It looks like this list is the Visa Dining Collection. I may have had the two confused when I made the bookings originally - it now looks clear to me that there's a difference.

You are right. Here is what I found in the FAQ. Unless they add Mexico those reservations go adios. I was hoping to get 2x $150 with 2 cards to use at 2 restaurants. Not much in it that is within a half hour drive, and overpriced restaurants so we may dump player 2 card at anniversary unless we find some value. Edit is also questionable given we own timeshares and have a lot of hotel FNC, points and Sapphire points.

When I look at the restaurant that I booked, just via a basic search in Vegas and pull it up, I see a small banner that says "Curated for Sapphire Reserve." Tapping it explicitly lists the $300 credit. So this may be the best way to tell if it really applies. I then tried a place I have not booked (Gary Danko in SF) and see the same banner.

When I search Acre, I get a banner with a Visa logo and "You've got Visa Dining access." It does not have the above message. And clicking does not show the credit. based on this, I'd say that this will not get the credit.

Cheers.

Not much for us in the South Bay. But we travel really a lot, so I'm sure that we can be in a place each half year to use this. For example, this half will be Vegas and next half (first of 2026) could well be New Orleans as we're there for 13 nights. But we only have 1 CSR (and two Aspire since we can easily get the benefits from that each).

Cheers.

*Any good/efficient resources for good use cases for Edit & the Sapphire Restaurant credit?

Is this thread about Aspire FNC or something else?

Is this thread about Aspire FNC or something else?
Sorry :-(
Could you pls maybe move some of it to a 'Premium Travel Credit Cards' thread & label that other thread (the AmEx non Aspire) to Premium travel Credit Cards, so we could discuss CSR, C1VX, RC etc also without worrying about being in the wrong thread or hijacking the thread etc...
TY!
