I've only stayed at the one in Nuevo Vallarta. We really liked it because the beach was swimmable, pools were nice and large and it was about a 15 minute walk into Bucerias. We hate feeling trapped at the resort (Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta) and forced to pay for their over priced meals. We took the path into town every night before sunset and then cabbed back for about $5 after having dinner and listening to music in town. We are trying to exchange in again for next year to have a 2 week vacation one at Buganvilias in PV and then on to Nuevo Vallarta for the second week. Since we have Buganvilias there is no reason for us to be interested in the PV location.

It's hard to beat the Baja locations in Cabo or Loreto for fishing. For winter it's hard to beat Cancun, Puerto Vallarta or Flamingos for weather. Cancun has the best scuba and snorkeling. Puerto Vallarta and Flamingos has the best sunsets. It's hard to beat Puerto Vallarta for restaurants and it's Malecon. It's hard to beat Cabo for night life.

Younger me would pick Cabo for the fishing and night life as the number one VDP. Older me likes Puerto Vallarta in the winter as the number one VDP.

Regarding decks, it's Cancun first because of the hammooks, Flamingos, Loreto and the Arco second because of the large decks, then Cabo and PV last for the small decks. Our last stay at the PV resort had us really close to the beach so our deck view was fantastic.
