Has anyone stayed in the Polo Towers after renovation? I'm anxious to know if they are really nice or just fixed, like new old stuff. I'm hoping to hear they feel luxurious, warm, rich, Oh, so beautiful, etc. "They look nice" means little more to me than "Good car" or "Fair price".

How about a rating system. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being "I'd only send someone to stay as a practical joke" and 10 being "I live in a mini-mansion and I would bring my mansion living neighbor along to impress them"

Please update us with a score and a sentence. Thank you soooo much!!

The units are essentially being gutted and completely redone. They will have all new furniture, new carpeting, new paint and even the location of the lock-out door will be moved from the kitchen area up towards the front door to eliminate issues with "neighbor noise."

The renovation is ongoing and will continue for several more months. I forget the completion date but March sticks in my mind. The last reports were they were ahead of schedule.

Polo Towers is never going to be Marriott quality. It might begin to approach Hilton quality. The rooms are not going to be any larger and at 900 sq ft there is only so much you can put into a unit before it begins to feel crowded. I think in the end you'll find most will rate Polo Towers post renovation around a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Polo Towers greatest advantage will always be it's loction. It probably has one of the very best locations of any I.I. resort in Vegas. It has a direct acroos-the-street view of MGM's new City Center Project resorts. The rooms will be comfortable and the decor less dated.

I have not seen any of the renovated units but I have seen the model they were showing before the renovations began. The rooms will be up to the standards of many newer resorts save for the top hotel based resorts such as Marriott or Westin. If it they had washer/dryer combo's and if the resort had all the amenities of the HGVC resorts I'd actually prefer it to Hilton. The problem is Polo Towers will never, as a resort, offer everything Hilton can offer.

You have great pics of some outstanding t/s resorts.

Sharhu stayed there a few weeks ago and posted on this forum. I'm reposting Sharhu's comments here:

"Just got back this morning from our week at Polo. We were lucky, on check in I asked if there was a renovated unit available rather than using our own unit. We had to wait about 1 1/2 hours for it to be ready but it was worth it.

The unit is nice. I like the improvements to the master bedroom the best. It really makes a difference changing the positioning of the bed and it was very comfortable. The wood is not the light wood as shown in the promotional renovations pictures it is darker and the couch is darker. It is a definite improvement. The lock-off was nice, too. A friend had a last minute emergency and wasn't able to join us so having the lock-off with the couch was nice. My husband just set up his laptop in there and used it as a mini-office and his own dressing room and bath. Didn't seem like the bath linens were upgraded yet, they were supposed to be better quality and with bath sheets but maybe that will wait until they are all done, rather than trying to keep linens separated by floor. I took some pictures when I have a chance to post them I will, probably not until the end of the week sometime though.

I was told by security that 4 floors are completed and they are working on the 5th and it is going quicker than expected, they are ahead of schedule.

I also liked the pool furniture (that had been changed since we were there the beginning of April). Darker brown and beige stripe and with cushions. Definitely more comfortable."
