Polar Vortex 2014

We woke up to the coldest morning of this upcoming Winter. 11 above. Some snow is expected over the next 3-4 days. This is a couple of weeks earlier than usual. We should be in Indian Summer now not wrapped in woolies.

How's the early winter wake-up call where you are? Hawaii folks just sit on your hands. We don't want to hear it.

I had 15 and some flurries. After last winter being so long this is waaay to early.

It's been a VERY mild fall so far here in the Boston area, a few interspersed cold days but I haven't had the heat on for any stretch yet, just a day here and a day there. Last night the clouds rolled in with a pea soup fog and by tomorrow we're supposed to get very cold, maybe snow on Friday but not the amounts we're seeing dumped elsewhere. Stay warm and safe everyone!

Colorado:

This morning it hit a low of 1 degree, and it is a balmy 10 degrees now. Been snowing on and off since yesterday morning, maybe have 3-4 inches of snow on the grass.

Tonight it is supposed to bottom out at -5 degrees.

It's too early for this type of deep cold. Heck, I think we only had one or two frosts (maybe down to 28 or so) before this cold wave hit Monday.

Yeah. My thread title probably wasn't factually accurate, but you looked, didn't you? That was the objective.

I guess I could have titled it [THREE DOG NIGHT STRIKES CANADA AND U.S.] But how many of us have three dogs?

Funny that I was outside in shorts and a T-shirt on Sunday, and today it was 14 degrees on my way into work.

Sorry guys, its 80 degrees here in SE Florida. But I get to feel your pain in 3 weeks when we go to Jackson Hole for 2 weeks of winter fun in the snow.

I still have a couple of Three Dog Night 8 track tapes in the shop but I have no way to play them. The reason I still have it is because they spelled golden biscuits on the end and golden bisquits on the cover. That and maybe someday 8 track will be the in thing again.

Ive never been to Spain or England but did make it to Las Vegas and Oklahoma.

Weather forecasters have NOTHING over on Snowbirds from Canada. Try finding a place to stay this winter in Jan or Feb below Orlando. I might bet even Orlando will have nothing left by NYE weekend for Jan or Feb.
