I'm thinking of buying a points resort and selling the White Durban sands 2br. I've been looking on Ebay and found the following.

He has some packages attractive to me.

The name is Steve Drummond and he works for TimesharePoints4Less.com.

Or does anyone know a seller that has the same that they can recommend?

Or a better suggestion?

Most on Ebay are either very expensive or very high maintenance fees.

TIA

Our Experience With Timeshare Brokers

This is not a blanket endorsement, because our experience is limited to just 1 transaction each. However, both those transactions were satisfactory in all respects, so we would not hesitate to do more business with either or both brokers.

We bought our South African 2BR straight-weeks timeshare in 2002 from Marc Thomas. He also offers timeshare points packages & (last time I looked) advertises those on TUG in the classified ads section.

We bought our entry-level points package in 2005 from Nate Roberts, doing business on eBay as The Timeshare Guys. His eBay offerings include links to his timeshare informational pages, which we found helpful & informative.

We have a mild version of brand loyalty, & so would think of those guys 1st if we were looking to buy any more timeshares. But our brand loyalty is weaker than our love for bargains, so if we were interested in more timeshares we would also look in the usual other places (RedWeek, eBay, Craig's List, TUG, etc.).

I had a very different experience with Nate of Timeshare Guys

We had just purchased a Pahio @ Bali Hai without points on the resale market for a bargain price. I had questions about converting the week to points, but Nate thought that we owned points and treated us really badly. I was asking about point values and told him we owned at Bali Hai and I didn't understand points. He thought I owned something I didn't understand and dismissed my questions.

He was by far the rudest person I have ever encountered on ebay. :( He didn't really read my question before he accused me of being so stupid to believe that I had gotten a bargain by purchasing my points from a developer. When my husband read Nate's rude comments, he took Nate's comments even worse than I.

Rick posed the questions again and did get a semi-nice answer. My original question was something like, "how can someone trade into Hawaii for 45,500 points when the point values of the Hawaii resorts are much higher than that?" Then I asked what I could do to get points for my Pahio week.

Also, the prices Nate charges on his website are pretty high for points, especially when you compare to Australia points through Jerry Naugle.

We just bought some points

I just bought a small package of points from Scott Riddle at Trading Time. He has access to points at Rayburn Country, primarily. I need another maintenance fee like I need another hole in the head, but at $236 per year, I was willing to give points a try.

He has packages starting at $595 + closing + maint fees + RCI fee. It always irritates me to have to pay closing costs, but I have to admit, it was nice not to have to worry about getting the deed recorded or anything. It was all taken care of with no problems.

The website is www.timeshare-points.com.

Wow, is Scott Riddle still around? What a hoot! Scott use to work for ICW (the company that started the whole SA craze on TUG) and I purchased my Dikhololo weeks from him. Now, I too am thinking about buying a small pts package so I can deposit my Diks. But like you, I too do not need another maint fee. It is just so funny all the angles us TUGGERS try to pay with these timeshares. LOL!

Where do I find info on the Australian pts.?

Australia timeshare

www.austimeshare.com is where you can find Jerry Naugle.

The deal we got: $2750 paid for two weeks--91,800 points per year and included all MF's for 2006 use year and closing costs. The MF's will be just $698.00 per year for both weeks. These weeks are at Mansfield Country Resort near Melbourne

Cindy, when did you buy your Points resort? I was just looking at Jerry's site, and I couldn't find Mansfield Country Resort listed there. The current deals seem to be more expensive.

aussie timeshare

I have found my aussie timeshare (as mentioned above) quite satisfactory. Based on my purchase, I would also recommend them.

Jerry might have sold his last one at Mansfield.

Email him and ask if he has any more to sell. This was just three months ago. I think you might have to get your name in to get a deal like that. He knows TUGgers are watching his site. Just let him know you saw it on TUG. He will get you a deal, when he can.
