Point deposit July use year

I’m sure this has been answered but has anyone used point deposit with Apr, Jul, or Oct use year?

If so, how does that work? Is it July to July or any use year?

It works just like any other Use Year. The Points Deposit rules are written generically to be the 3rd, 6th, 9th, or 12th month depending on VIP level.

So a standard member with a July UY can deposit until the last day of September.

Not asking how late I can use it but whether I can only go July to the next July or can I go 18 months to January.

From the new Directory:
The Points Deposit Feature allows you to deposit all, or a
portion, of your current Use Year’s points into a future Use
Year within the first 3 months of your current Use Year.
Points may be deposited into the next Use Year or 2 Use
Years from now.

Once points have been deposited, they will expire at the
end of the Use Year selected and will not be eligible to be
deposited again.

So my reading is that your points would not be good for the extra 6 months.

Are you referring to depositing into the next use year or the one following. ? The use year wouldn't matter, you would deposit into the next use year or the following. See page 251 of the current directory.

July to June use year goes into Jly to June next or following.

A “Future use year” is ambiguous in this contest; it doesn’t restrict to 12/24 month intervals per se. It doesn’t tell me if I can move April 18 to a future Use year of, say Oct 18 or July 19.

What I want to know is can I move July 18 to Oct 19 for example.

I don’t need someone to read the guide to me or guess what they think, after reading the guide. I’m asking has anyone done it and know for sure. Has anyone moved points 3,6,9,15,18 months forward or does it have to be 12 or 24. I get that 24 is the implied max but that doesn’t obviously rule out an 18 month move from Jan to July of following year.

You’re making it way too complicated. It is either a 12-month shift or a 24-month shift. There is no middle ground. And, yes, I have deposited points forward.

Do you have multiple use years in your account, which is causing confusion here?

If you have multiple use years you can click on the first box and all available use years will show. Then you can select which use year to deposit the points in. You can answer your own question with playing with the points deposit just don’t complete the process.

If you have a July 1 start to your use year. You can now deposit current use year points into July 2019 to June 2020 use year or July 2020 to June 2021 use year.
So you actually pushed points out 24 or 36 months but they are still only good in their respective 12 month period.
Only exception would be if you borrow them back for a Express 90 day or less reservation then you actually have use for upto 24 months out.
