hi
If you have a favorite eating place in Garden City/Murrells Inlet, please give me a "heads up". We'll be there 8/29-9/8. thanks for your help.
sincerely

I can recommend Drunken Jacks and Lees Inlet Kitchen. It's been several years since we have been to either, but they both still get good reviews. We used to rent at nearby Litchfield By the Sea at least once a year, but haven't been since 2009. We need to go back there.

Try the Gulfstream Café in Surfside. They have a nice early evening menu for $13.95 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. (you can see the 'early evening' menu under the heading menus - more menus - early evening menu).

Drunken Jacks is still our favor sea food place.

Prossers BBQ, which is not all BBQ! seafood, great fried chicken, home cooking, small buffet replenished frequently. Cost about $14 for lunch, not sure about dinner. They have an early bird price.

We passed this one several times until we realized that it was so highly recommended on Tripadvisor. Check it out.

We enjoy Creek Ratz. We're there last week and hubbie absolutely raves about his fish tacos; he had the fish blackened. Instead of fish "pieces" in the tacos, he had a slab of fish in each. Said they were excellent! Reasonable prices and a great view of the marsh!!

Another vote for Gulfstream Cafe (Surfside / Garden City). Crab cakes are FABULOUS. Grouper or Scallops are almost as good.

Drunken Jack's is very good. Get a Margarita (or 4) with a touch of fresh squeezed orange juice. Great.

Hot Fish Club is top notch. Rated No. 1 in Murrells Inlet on Trip Advisor.

Went to drunken Jack's and it was good food, but the view of the inlet was what made it truly special. Get the right seat out back and it is very good.

Prossers is REALLY hard to beat on a value basis. Good home cooking and really simple. Get the lunch buffet and you shouldn't have to eat for the rest of the day. Super tasty and not your typical restaurant fare. Love it. Would go there weekly if I could. My Fav.

A little north there was also a place with grilled lobster and cheese sandwiches, forget the name. Pretty interesting. Crab and cheese was probably my fav. who would have thought the simple grilled cheese sandwich could be made THAT much better with crab? Not me.
