Hi,

I am buying a second Marriott timeshare. My resorts are at two different places. Please explain how I can use the 13 month rule. Thanks!

As long as the seasons of the 2 resort overlap, you can reserve a week at resort 1 and the following week at resort 2 at 13 months from the first checkin date. You can also have both weeks, the same week and deposit or rent one of the weeks.

BUT, just because you own 2 weeks, you can not reserve at 13 months out for one resort without also reserving the other week for the same time.

Make sure to get separate reservation numbers for each week, because if you want to change the date of one week and/or deposit it you will otherwise risk losing the other week.

You can also use the lock-off option of one or both weeks to book consecutive weeks, but may only book consecutive weeks using the lock-off option at 13 months if you are using 2 distinct weeks (that is, you can't lock off 1 unit and then book the 2 sides consecutively at 13 months, but you can do that if you are booking a different unit either before or afterwards).

i think u can cancel your second week later for $39 fee. Not too bad for 13 mo priority.
