We will be staying here to get early access to the Universal Studios, and not willing to spend $20 for their buffet breakfast. Are there any place nearby for inexpensive breakfasts?

Thanks

there are plenty of places on International Drive which is a short drive

Eat in the park or in city walk (?)

If you don't want to drive. When we (family of 5) stayed there, we ate breakfast after the general crowd was let in. We like the three broomsticks (don't need reservation) - breakfast came with a drink (coffee, tea, juice or a small cup of butterbeer) - I think it was $10 - $12 pp depending on what you ordered. You can go in and take a look at the platters that they offer before you order.

On the way to Harry Potter, there is a bakery that had a combo of pastry, drink and fruit cup. I think that was less than $10 pp but they didn't open until the official park opening. Also, on the pricier side, there is a snack wagon across from Olivander's - croissant, fruits and cold drinks. I think the croissant was $3 and a bottle of pear juice was $5(could be more)!!

In the hotel, you can get continental type food to go (breads/bagels, drinks, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs?) - I think they have a combo too - I don't remember exactly what you got; it may be $11 pp - may be the same as the bakery in IOA (drink, pastry and fruit)

We did all of the above for breakfast. Of course my kids loved the three broomsticks the best.

We didn't go breakfast in city walk so you should look at the map and see if there are places that offer breakfast (I remember reading about it) Sorry I don't have more info on that.

Have a great time!
