Great pictures... You did the same trip we are doing in July. A few nights at Aulani followed by a week at WKORV (but we are staying South). I noticed something on the one bedroom balcony that I haven't seen before and that is a table with chairs. At least on the South side it is a chaise lounge with a table which makes it impossible to eat outside on your balcony. Did you notice if the other side had tables and chairs too. If so, I'll be very excited!

The 1 Bed on the North gets a table and four chairs on the lanai. The studio gets two chairs and a small coffee table.

I posted about these - they appear to have removed the chaise loung chairs from B2 and B3, but still saw them on some of the B4 lanais - I almost went down to the pool and grabbed one as it is nice to lay down outside (but got 'the look' from Robin). The size of the OFD lanai is large enough to have 1 lounge chair as well as the table and chairs (not sure about the Prem villas). We do like the table and chairs outside as it is great to eat out there.

BTW, the Hawaiian Monk seal shown in your photos was still on the beach yesterday. It is just south of the resort, on the beach below the 5 private residences. They have roped off an area to protect it.

David - They removed all the lounge chairs from the WKORV OFD 1BR units? Can you help me understand what exactly is now out there? I like the idea of a small dining table with dining chairs but as you indicated, the lanai is easily wide enough to support both a dining and a lounge chair area.

Thanks...

There are the 2 cushioned low-profile out-door chairs with cushioned foot stools (can't remember what these stools are actually called) and a small side table as before, plus a larger table for eating (sits 4 people) with 2 cushioned outdoor chairs that sit higher for eating at the table. The 2 cushioned chaise lounge chairs (similar to the ones that used to be the pool before they were replaced by the more durable black lounge chairs) have been removed - I assume to make room for the additional eating table and 2 chairs. There is probably room for one chaise lounge, but not 2.

I hope that explains it well enough - usually I take tons of photos and videos but I didn't this time.

Thanks, that actually sounds pretty nice. I will miss the lounge chair though but like the idea of the dining table.

Thanks for the update, I must have missed that post. On the OF units they could definitely fit a lounge and table with chairs. I'm not sure I get it because at Marriott Ko'Olina and Waiohai the balconies have the lounge chair plus a table with 4 seats. I'm not sure I get why it has to be one or the other and not both. Next time I'll have to measure the balconies and see if the WKORV ones are smaller. Marriott also uses cheaper patio furniture so, it just might be smaller furniture at Marriotts too.

At WKORV now 2630!!! :) 12 mos 9am worked this time. The chairs are nice but a lounge chair would probably inspire the DS to sleep on it all night. Say some whales last evening.
