We started playing pickleball 1 1/2 years ago! We love it! We have taught many … and we asked Bluegreen’s Christmas Mountain to stripe the tennis court and they did! Fun game … we travel everywhere with our paddles! Bluegreen’s Big Cedar and Paradise Point also have courts!

They won’t allow in our subdivision because tennis players want all five courts and homeowners think too noisy.

Tennis players tend to be very territorial, even when in the minority and poor players in my experience. A 50/50 split of time on the courts would be a start.

They want a bathroom near two of the courts, three courts have a bathroom. The master board offered them a golf cart which would be used to get to nearby restroom faster, but that doesn’t suffice.

Fantastic sport. Easy to travel with a paddle vs golf clubs. Any timeshare resort would benefit by adding Pickleball courts. RCI and other exchange systems could add Pickleball to the on-site amenities. We have visited a couple and guests/owners are using them all day long. It is easy to find a pickup game or to just play singles with your traveling companion. Like any recreation area, the noise can be an issue since there is laughter and cheering involved.

For anyone who has too much time standing around, the problem is generally that there are too many people for the number of courts you have. We were having that situation and even enjoying the socializing time. Then we found a place that had more courts and there was much less standing around time, I like this much better. So my recommendation is to find a place that has more courts....
