Indeed. Good news. Nevada’s courses were open until recently. Golf is one sport where players can maintain some separation. I look forward to seeing tournaments again even if without fans in attendance.

Best regards.

Kind of selfish on the part of the PGA if you ask me. There is more to a golf tournament than just the players. You have the grounds crew that has to travel back and forth to work. Though I am sure they will like to be working. The players also have to travel. They don't all have private planes and helicopters. Then the television crews that have to setup and tear down the event as well as the broadcasters.

Something tells me it will be all kind of boring. The fans are just as much a part of the sport as the players. No trophy presentations, likely no post-round interviews or press briefings.

We cannot wait forever and do nothing. Until there is a vaccine we still have the virus. Having PGA tour resume with COVID-19 precautions baked in is a step in the right direction. Television crews' job is to setup and tear down and it won't be different other than "You stay there and not come near me!".

It's better that watching grass grow. Not by much, but... :ROFLMAO:

If certain aspects of football, like...
tackling, play clocks, penalty yards, punting & field goals, were allowed...
It'd be a much better sport.

And professional darts too.

United States Croquet Association tournaments will start back up in June
Florida has deemed World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) an "essential service"

Maybe they will bring back table tennis or is called ping pong table tennis. No contact and no viewers are needed in the stands. LOL:wave::ROFLMAO:

Players are more than 6 feet apart.

The players will be touching the common ping pong ball, same argument as tennis.

PGA Tour set to announce return of season June 11 - just no fans allowed on the course !

The first tournament on the schedule is the Colonial in Fort Worth. My take (living in Fort Worth) is that it will happen because both city and state governments want it to happen. I could be reading the tea leaves wrong, but I don't think I am...

I don't think being in Texas has anything to do with it. LPGA is also resuming in June which is in Michigan. Based on your theory, the governor of Michigan won't be allowing it. ;)

Someone had to go first. It will be an interesting "clinical" test to see if they can make it through 3-4 weeks without players or caddies getting infected. If so, whatever they are doing will become a model for other sports to examine and follow. Of course, if not, it will be a big-time setback to sports starting because if you can't safely do it in golf, how could you possibly in NBA, NFL, etc., where teams have to practice together in close quarters?
