Years ago we had this membership for a free year after a developer purchase. I have not renewed it, yet, when I went there today to see if it had changed in value at all, the coupons are still accessible in my account. The site is equivalent with retailmenot full of coupons for 10% off here and 20% off there. The difference is there's a list of some of the Wyndham resorts and you can search for discounts near those.

So, is Perks no longer a paid membership? Does Wyndham still use Perks membership as added value?

I logged out and tried the registration form and you do have to use a Wyndham Owner Number to open a new account. Also, when I watched the owner meeting video, I saw that there was a Perks table at the open house.

Not sure exactly, but a couple years ago I kept getting mailers encouraging me to renew my Perks membership for some fee. I never used it before in the previous 6 years of Wyndham VIP ownership, so I wasn't about to pay any more into the program. I was surprised I had a "current" Perks membership even at that point.

Well, fast forward about 2 years, I still get Perks emails and I am guessing that I still have a membership, so perhaps they did away with the renewal fee?? Doesn't sound very much like Wyndham to do so...

Perks

I recently looked into this program. They would not provide me a free year with "100% resale points". There is a yearly fee for this program of around $50-$60/year. Once you call the number they will tell you the fee to sign-up:crash:

*So I didn't sign-up. I just find myself checking out Groupon, living social or Amazon local for deals near where I am stay. They have had everything from food, massages, tours, great restaurant locations (I usually check out yelp or trip advisor to get additional details on the restaurants before going.)

I believe it is "free" with dev purchased points. We have had it for many years, and never paid a fee.

One way to find out. Someone with a Wyndham member number with only resale points, try using your number to register now. Go here and click the register link at the top right. https://www.perksbyclubwyndham.com/offers

That register page says nothing about any cost. You can always back out if it asks for money. Please let us know what happens. :)

I just tried...

I have 100% resale points...when I tried to login, they told me I had to go through the online enrollment process, which then takes you to a payment screen. $59.95 per year...

Thank you! I guess that answers that question. $59.95 is waaay more than it's worth. I think it used to be only $49. Retailmenot is better and it's free.
