Isn't it annoying when trying to have a conversation with someone while they constantly check their email etc., on their PDA?

It doesn't happen in my world (maybe because I'm retired). I'd feel like I just wasn't important to them. I'd say, "catch ya later," and walk away. I wouldn't put up with half attention or less.

JMHO, of course.

Yes, definitely, and usually it's my son. And then then there are those who can't drag their eyes away from the TV. I have to explicitly tell them to put away whatever it is, take their fingers off it, turn it off, etc. It's like their pacifier. Grrrrr.

My oldest is staying with us for several weeks before leaving for the UK and a new job. I can't keep his attention in an regular conversation. It drives me crazy. He should know better, but won't put the damn PDA down. You'd think he was waiting for a phone call, or message from The Almighty.
