Paying MF with Aspire Credit Card

I read that maintenance fees for Las Vegas properties (listed as Hilton Resorts) trigger the $250 resort statement credit for the Aspire card. Is it possible to split payment if my wife and I both have the card? Further, if we purchased an EOY deed, would it be possible to split the MF payment between years? For example, my wife and I each make a $250 payment toward the maintenance fees in December and then again in January? Note that the answer here isn't going to determine our purchasing decision, I'm just curious if this was possible.

I am not sure how to split an individual MF payment since it shows as one bill and has one spot to add the payment info but if you have more than one deed, you can pay for them separately. For instance, we own in Tuscany, Blvd, and Craigendarroch. We have already pre-paid our Craigendarroch, to take advantage of the exchange rate, but in the HGV portal, the Tuscany and Blvd MF bills are separate so I can pay one and then later pay the other. I know others on this list do exactly that to break up the bills versus one big monthly bill.

Since the Aspire resort credit is calendar year based, you can also pay part this year and part in January to trigger the 2023 credit, though obviously then it will be used up for next years MF payment..

I think that Aspire card resort credit is card anniversary based.

Oh your right, i must have been confused with a different card reward.

Thank you all for your insight! This is very helpful! It appears that it's possible to split payment online between multiple cards.

I think that this wont work. The rules state that the resort credit does not work for prepaid reservations (MF are prepayments for stays) and it requires billing at a stay at the property (requires actual check-out. Just sayin"...

I have done it and it works...as have many others but it does depend on the resort. When I paid our Craigendarrouch MFs, we received the credit and the 14x points.

It also works for me.

It absolutely does work for the right resorts. We've done this for a number of years. W. 57th, though, does not work. Vegas seems to work.

Cheers.

The MF is processed differently than a prepaid hotel stay. I paid the Club dues for my Kingsland deed and the Amex transaction details show it as a payment to KL, with a check-in date that matches the payment.

If you prepay for a hotel, such as at Hilton.com, that processes as a generic charge to Hilton, so the Amex credit won't trigger.

does anyone know from prior experience if paying for an affiliate in my case MarBrisa triggers the 14x points?

is the resort credit per CY? could i get it twice if i pay $250 of the MF before 12/31 and the rest after?

thanks! last question i think.

have to spend $4000 within 90 days for the 150k bonus HH points.

does that include:

- $450 AF (assume not)
- Hilton resort and airline expenses that are reimbursed as credits (up to $250 each)?

I don't think the credits get deducted from the spend count and I don't think the credit card annual fee counts for spending.
