Parking fees are coming to Grande Vista

Not really. All that gobbledygook still means maybe, maybe not. Its not definitive at all. That means you need to call/contact every time you want to book if you want to know and not have an arrive surprise. Further, its to avoid providing exact info...and when all is said and done they can point at it and say see...it was right there telling you nothing!

It should be a know before you book thing. All that info should be on RCI, interval or whatever site you book from.
Since the parking fee doesn't apply to Interval Exchanges and other bookings, no need to disclose anything. We are at Harbour Lake on an AC and no word of parking fees at checkin.

Do you know, or what would your guess be, about whether II getaways would be charged for parking?

Yes that's an II catch-all so they are coveted if the resorts don't give them the correct information.

When resorts do have specific charges there's usually different wording that refers to that.

II may also not get told if there are facilities that are not working at the resort or if there's construction noise scheduled during your stay, so you have to check for those yourself to avoid a nasty surprise when you arrive anyway.

You only have to look at how poorly MVC updates the hub vacationclub website to see that II stand no chance of getting sensible information consistently from resorts.

The resorts don't usually know the difference between a getaway or an exchange. They just see it as an inbound II booking.

I believe Grand Vista may know the difference. Checked in Sept. 29th on an II exchange (Phuket Beach Club week) and received the preferred (or whatever its called) check in experience. Last week checked in on a Getaway and went to the front desk.

That could also just be random. Or they see you checked in with preferred previously and opted not to offer it on a subsequent stay.

Fully agreed! This wasn't clear at time of booking / I didn't receive this email until a week before check in
