 I am just wondering that has anyone visited Panama City Beach lately (like in June or July 2010). I am most interested in the beach condition at PCB in respect to the oil spills.

Most appreciated any information.

:cheer: What a relief to know the beach is nice and not smelling oils. Thanks for your helpful info.

We were there from July 3 to July 10 and the beach was clear, blue and clean. Not a sight of oil or tar balls anywhere. We were on the West End.
Enjoy!!

I am in Orange Beach Alabama right now and I have looked for oil and have not found any. There are crews all over the beaches looking for oil, and if any shows up they clean it up quicly.I check in at Destin tomorrow and according to them they have no oil on the beach either. The downside of travelling right now is that some oil could roll in, but if it does it will be gone in a day thanks to the 24 hour a day clean up crews. The upside is that the 2 hour waits for restaurants has become little or no waits because of the tourists who didn't come this summer. I have been here in October and seen bigger crowds than this.

By the way Captain Anderson's is a great place to eat and probably most popular in PC, but Saltwater Grill is MY NEW FAVORITE. http://www.saltwatergrillpcb.com/ The firecracker shrimp is a great appetizer and i have yet to have anything that wasn't great. It is not on the water, but it has a huge saltwater aquarium to watch as you eat or sit at the bar. they also have a piano bar with great singer piano player. I also like Pineapple Willies 3rd best, Sharky's 4th, and Schooners 5th best. Not a fan of Maragaritaville, but many are.

Have a great trip and thank the news for scaring so many people away allowing your summer visit to have crowds equal to fall. To any wondering, go to the Gulf Cast of Alabama and Florida and don't worry about the oil. If you try you might find a tar ball or two, but I doubt you will even find a single tar ball no matter how hard you try.
