Palm Pre

I really wanted a Pre when I started this thread, but ended up with an IPhone that I totally love. Had to change from Sprint to AT&T to do that. Had to convince DH to do that. The main reason I decided against the Pre was lack of APPS.

Pre

I don't need many apps. They sound fun but then I realized I won't use them.
I love my iTouch but wouldn't have AT&T for "all the tea in China"! Hubby has it and he drops calls left and right everywhere we go on his Blackberry and his company upgrades his phone to new ones often. He gets service in areas I don't, like Maine and Alaska and internationally but for day to day, it stinks around here.

I was without a phone for 24 hours as the Pre just wouldn't bring up the network. I read online and found a Quick test and it came back that it was a Code 20 hardware modem problem. I called Verizon and went through a bunch of stuff I had already tried, then sent to Palm level one and did it all over again. Then up to level three. NOT ONE of them knew or could find out what a "Code 20" was or what to do about it so they gave me a new device.
I really thought about getting the Droid instead but it's just so clunky and boring looking. So I have another Pre and hopefully this time will work out.
I still haven't downloaded and uploaded the new software for it so I'll probably be back on tech support! I have to say that the tech support person I got on the phone today from Verizon was the best I've ever had. She stayed with me through Palm, gave me her number and extension and called me back twice to be sure I got the new phone and then again to see how it was working for me tonight before she got off!

Hopefully you got a written Palm Prenup.

Indeed...

Hopefully you got a written Palm Prenup.

Indeed I did. :p

It's always been this way with Palm for me. I've had numerous dating back to PDAs. The first month is tech support hell and then it works like a charm.
I find myself loving some of the fun stuff with this Pre but when it gets down to "hurry, I need to do this," I miss my 755p. It's just going to take getting used to the touch and swipes.
