Palazzo at Soriano vs Palazzo Catalani, Italy -Any differences

HGVC (Embarc)
We are looking at staying at one of these two resorts next spring. Any advantages or disadvantages to either one? The 1st one seems to require a lot more points.
 
Wow, over 100 views and no comments. :ponder: Has anyone stayed at the Palazzo at Soriano side? There does not seem to be any reviews of that part of the facility.

You have posted this in the HGVC subforum, and neither of those resorts is in the HGVC portfolio. Not sure what system they are part of, but that's where this thread should be, and where you may be able to get some educated opinions.
 
Try moving this to the European Timeshare forum. Cc @GT75

I know it is available via DeX EU but not sure if part of former DRI or an affiliate.

I am also curious to know the difference.

It came into the fold through DRI. I have searched the European Timeshare forum and all the reviews are older and only mention the Palazzo Catalani. Thanks though guys. It is nice to see some replies. :)

I posted the question here because as an Embarc owner, this would be my home forum. The BBS seems to have a rule against multiple posts. I had thought about posting on the HVC forum...

Check the Embarc Members Facebook group. There are several posts by members who have been to at least one and you can ask as well. With 7,500 members, you're more likely to find someone who's been there as they are resorts we can book directly with our points. I’m not sure where Embarc’s home forum would be. HVC has renamed Embarc as HGVC, but HGVC owners do not have access to Embarc for booking and/or exchanges - we wish we did!

@TUGBrian where on TUG is the best forum for Embarc?
 
I believe that six of our nine Embarc properties have been re-branded as HGVC properties. That makes us HGVC. You should have access at 7 months out. The 7 month window is the same for us to other HGVC properties.

Since Embarc is branded HGVC, posts about it are in the HGVC subforum.

The 7 month window is only for HGV Max members. Anyone with DEX (except actual Embarc members) will also find a lot of inventory in DEX - without having to buy more points to get into Max.

I know this post is a little old but wanted to say that I just stayed at Palazzo Catalani in October and LOVED IT! If you have mobility issues it could be a problem though as there is a steep incline to get up to the entrance and no elevator in the building. The building across the street which houses the spa does have an elevator...perhaps this is the Palazzo at Soriano but I'm not sure. If so, they share the same front desk.
