Palace Resorts in Cancun

Hi,

I own with palace resorts and I had one of my guest contact me when he got back from a 3 week vacation that he had book through me.

He stayed at the moon palace but went to the beach palace, cancun palace and sun palace during his stay.

He said the food is prepared at the moon palace and then sent to the other resorts.

He loved the Italian restaurant @ the Moon palace (Filet mignon), the stir-fry for lunch at the Sun Palace and the Leonardo restaurant (Teppanyaki tables-Japanese-style grill) at the cancun palace (he said this was great and they ate here a few times).

He was really happy with the quality of the food at all of the resorts.

He said the beach palace does not have a beach anymore (not sure if that means it is really small or not there), the Cancun Palace has a sliver of a beach (it didn't look too bad on tripadvisor) but the sun palace had a really nice beach.

Hope this helps... when are you going to cancun? We are going to the Moon Palace March 6th and then again on March 22nd.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Susan

I have spent a week at Moon Palace last year, and Aventura Spa Palace this year - both were absolutely beautiful, fantastic service, very clean and the restaurants were all very good. Neither of these have a beach, Aventura SPa is adults only. I would go back to either one in a heartbeat!! Have also spent a day each trip at Xpu-ha Palace, one day at Cozumel Palace and one day at Playacar Palace. Have great meals, fantastic service at each.

Sun Palace Question

My husband and I are going to the Sun Palace in April. Nice to hear it has a good beach! Does anyone know if the Palace resorts have transportation between any of the Cancun sister resorts?:)

The transfers are allowed going to resorts towards town but not resorts that are further south of them..

(exception Cozumel)
The Xpu-Ha has transfers to all resorts
The Aventura Spa can not go to the Xpu-ha
The Playacar palace can not go to th Xpu-ha or Aventura
The Moon Palace can only go to the Beach, Sun or Moon Palace

Someone told me they give you a ticket for either 4 or 6 hours, they said they took the 4 hours but then missed the bus and took one 6 hours later and did not have any problems.

I am not sure ifi you get your own way to Aventura or Xpu-ha if they would take you back to the other resorts?

I was told this was due to something that had to do with the taxi's losing business so the government wont allow them to shuttle from the other resorts.

We stayed at moon palace 2 years ago with two teens. Food was good. Pool/activities good. Service is very good. Pool is a little cool (no hot tubs) but I guess when it is really hot that a chilly pool is good. The beach is good but the water is not. If you stay at Moon Palace take transportation to beach/sun palace for nice blue water.

We all had a great time and they include several tours that you can take.

Highly reccomend these resorts:D

Owners

We own at the Palace resorts. My husband and I have visited the Aventura Spa the last two years usually in January or February for one week. Unfortunately we had to miss our yearly get away due to a promise to take the kids to see Mickey. Boy did I have to hear about how nice it sure would be to be in Mexico instead of with the kids etc etc etc for a whole week. Any way I digress.

We love the Palace resorts we usually stay at the Aventura Spa because of the no kid thing plus I love the spa. We have gone on the kitchen tour and I know that each resort prepares their own food! The Palace resorts pride themselves on the level of cleanliness etc in their kitchens. They have a huge under ground town under the resort where all the work is basically done. All the food is purchased and stored etc at the Moon palace and shipped to the other resorts as they need supplies. The Moon palace is the main hub because I know that laundry is also shipped back and forth between the resorts and the Moon Palace daily.

The last time we stayed we visited the Playa Car Palace and also the Cozumel Palace on day visits. There was a shuttle that would take you from the Aventura Spa to the other resorts and even to town but there was a certain time that it would drop you off and pick you up if you wanted to catch a ride back. The shuttle went all the way from the first hotel the very furthest south up to the last one in Cancun. There was one daily drop off and one daily pickup at each spot.

As for beaches I know that the Playa Car Palace didn’t have very much of a beach last year but neither did most of the resorts that we saw. The Aventura Spa has no beach just small in-lets carved out of the rock that you can go swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in. The Cozumel Palace has no beach they are on the west side of the island and they go right up to the water and you can climb down and go snorkeling right from the pool deck. If I remember right there was a dock that will pick you up if you are going diving etc.

The Cozumel Palace is small and very family oriented. There were tons of activities going on around the pool the day we visited and I think my DH even participated in the chili pepper bottle drop. The Aventura Spa is huge and they even have a shuttle that will take you from the north side to the south side. The north side is the spa side and is quieter the south side where the night club is and is where the party is every night I think they have a 1,000 rooms at least and when we visited last January they were just finishing up the room repairs from hurricane the year before. The Playa Car Palace is smaller but it is located right in town so you can easily leave and go do things.

Since we are owners we were treated to a free manicure and pedicure along with a 25 minute massage and two free tours, we also were able to get free airport transfers to and from the hotel. We also get two free tours the first time we went to Chichen – Itza and X’pu-Ha. Last time we went to Tulum and went on the Paradise Snorkeling tour.

Every meal that we have ever eaten at the Palace resorts was great. It is buffet for breakfast and lunch and then you order a la carte for supper at their different restaurants. I believe that I have experienced one of the best steaks that I have ever eaten at the La Hacienda and some pretty good Italian food at the La Trattoria. There was even a coffee, dessert bar which got my husband hooked on coffee with Baileys. I love the nachos at the pool bars.

Anyway everything for us has always been top of the line with the Palace Resorts. We love it and will continue to go back year after year. I think next year we want to stay at one of the other resorts in Cancun though.

Le Blanc Spa?

To the Palace "owners" that posted...do you have memberships that also allow you to either stay at or visit for a daytrip the one called Le Blanc Spa? I own at Cozumel Palace and am trying to figure out if that one is included in the "Stay at One, Play at All" program.

I am not an owner but I think I can answer the LeBlanc question - no, it is NOT included in the "stay at one, play at all" UNLESS there are just some memberships that allow you to do so. I have stayed at Moon and ASP - I could go between all Palaces EXCEPT LEBLANC.

With the Palace Passport promotion there are not just 2 tours you can take but 6 or 7 (I thought it was 7 but can only think of 6)

Chichen-Itza
Tulum/Xpu-ha
Coba
Paradise Sail & Snorkel
Isla Mujeres
Ek-Balam

All of these included lunch

I was told if you are staying at one of the other palace resorts then you Le Blanc is not part of the stay/play. I wish it was it looks really nice

We are owners, and we have one incentive week we are holding that includes LeBlanc as an option.. Havent been there yet.. maybe one day, but there are already so many to choose from.

We went to LeBlanc last May on an RCI exchange and we are returning this May, paying a pretty high all-inclusive fee but it was well worth it. I may want to buy a membership to be able to return there each year - probably interested only in LeBlanc, not the other Palace resorts. Does anyone have ideas about whether/how it might be possible to buy on the resale market and still qualify for LeBlanc? Only from someone who bought while at LeBlanc? Also if I buy from the developer (horrors!), any tips on getting the best deal on Palace resorts in general? The system seems very confusing! Thanks, Judith

Was told at the presentation last week that Le Blanc comes with a presidential membership or specific incentive weeks or promotions. The new Moon Palace in Punta Cana can't currently be part of the membership unless it is on an incentive week, but they are trying to work that bug out quickly so that you can utalize it with a regular membership as well.

Second poster called it- same food at all palaces.

The food is NOT the same at all Palace Resorts. Dinner at each resort is an a la carte restaurant, and they are different at each resort.
