Palace Puerto Vallarta

Heading to the Palace Resort PV during Spring Break. Anyone recently stayed at this resort? Also, what tours are they offering to members? How far is the resort from Old PV?
 
Vallarta Palace

We were at Vallarta Palace for a week at the end of July/beginning of August. We took the sunset sail tour. Others in our group took the horseback ride and a trip to a nearby waterpark. There was also a full day city tour available. The tours are listed on the Palace Resorts website. We took a taxi into town - did not want to spend the whole day. The taxi was $16.00 and it took about half an hour to get there. We really enjoyed our stay. Any other questions, I would be happy to answer. I took lots of pictures if you are interested.
Ask for a higher floor. We were on the second floor - becuase we were near ground level, the doors to our balcony did not open. The balcony is very small but the view is nice. The beach there is much nicer that Moon Palace in Cancun. The resort is small enough to get around easily. Food was good and drinks flowed freely.
 
You can also take the bus from Neuvo to Old Town - but I think you have to transfer at Wallmart. The bus is very cheap and very entertaining. Try it!
 
We stayed at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo. Had a great time. Went to PV once and that was enough for us. We were not very impressed. Basically, we didn't think it was worth the cab ride in.
