Wyndham Sales is very good at finding something "wrong" with your account---a problem which just happens to be solved by buying more points. We are at a presentation now. We are CWA and they are trying to say that bad debt will be causing our MF's to increase an additional $100 a month next month and we should change to Select. This is just a sales pitch correct?
Thanks for the confirmation. We left without purchasing any additional points or switching to Select. They were very aggressive today.

My favorite is, "Why are you paying MF? If you buy more points, you won't have to pay MF."Wyndham Sales is very good at finding something "wrong" with your account---a problem which just happens to be solved by buying more points.
Ignore it.
We are at Kingsgate. The experience was not anything like the one we had in Alexandria in December. They were trying really had to get us to switch from CWA to Select and in the process buy more points. They also mentioned that there was talk about making new restrictions for resale owners, we only have developer points.Where are you? Which resort?
Question for the group- what would/could the next restriction on resale owners be? I have seen numerous to the point of them not allowing me to make a reservation seems to be the only option left.
LOL! The old buy more points to rent and pay maintenance fees with the rentals. IMHO it's all Wyndham math that never adds up!My favorite is, "Why are you paying MF? If you buy more points, you won't have to pay MF."

If Wyndham.. did put additional restrictions on resale deeds there is really not much to lose when comparing resale vs developer sunk costs. I would be less inclined to buy developer knowing the rules can be changed at any time Wyndham feels it necessary. The last changes resulted in the devaluation of ownership for VIP owners that were sold cancel and re book as a benefit. Never believe what a sales person says unless it is stated in the purchase agreement.I can't think of an additional restriction that's been placed on resale owners since I've owned (almost 10 years). So I really don't think there is any "next restriction." I think the concept of that is a seed planted by sales staff to make resale seem risky.
The only restriction I can see Wyndham imposing on resale points is not letting VIP owners use them with VIP benefits.Question for the group- what would/could the next restriction on resale owners be?
