i am considering purchasing towels and a down comforter from this website...
so the question are.. "have you ordered from overstock.com and "have you been happy with the purchase you made" and if not happy with purchase, what has your experience been with the return process?"

It's been awhile since I have purchased from Overstock. But I have found their prices to be quite good and they have always treated me well, if I have had to return an item.

I ordered a set of Cal King sheets and have been satisfied with them. I'm sorry I didn't buy two sets for the price. Too late now they don't have any more. The order came quickly too.

I've bought quite a few things and been generally pleased. However, I bought towels that I didn't use or wash for a while after I received them. One of them literally came apart in the wash. I was beyond their return time limit (which isn't all that long) and they did nothing: no credit, no I'm sorry, nothing. I felt that one should not have to expect a towel to come un-raveled on its first washing, nor should I have had to wash them quickly to find out if they survived.

Other than that, I've been pleased (shipping is both fast and cheap).

My sister buys from them all the time and has been very happy.

She got us a down comforter from them a few years ago; it was supposedly a fairly lightweight one, but we find it quite warm.

I've also bought from overstock.com and been very happy with their
quality. Another great website for the same type of items is smartbargains.com.
I've bought down comforters and other items from them at great prices and
good quality.

I've purchased luggage (briefcases and rolling computer bag) as well as some jewelry and been very happy with the pricing and quality. Never had to return anything.

Most recently, I almost bought a camera case through them, but did find the exact same case at Adorama for $30 less ($49.99 vs $79.99 at the "O"). So be sure to check pricing as they are not always the best out there.

I ordered a Pashmina a while ago and it was way to thin and had a tiny hole in it.

They have a restocking fee. I didn't have to pay it for that item, though.

I've gotten some great deals at Overstock but you should always compare before buying. I like their shipping fee of $2.95 per item no matter how big. I ordered 2 night tables that were very heavy but no extra shipping and they are beautiful.

Lots of good deals there.

I have bought items from Overstock and have been pleased overall. However, consider the cost of shipping if you decide to return a product. The shipping TO YOU is great at $1 or $2 - however, when we returned a foam mattress pad - it was $40+ dollars for shipping!

Now, I never order anything heavy if I don't know if I will like it . . .
