I realize that gas has nearly doubled in the past few years BUT the vehicles we rent on vacation as well? Started shopping for a minvan or gas guzzling minivan for mid January 2009. When we last rented in January 2008, the rate was approx $400 total for 14 days. Now, it hovers between$646-$1121.00. Are we crazy? Any ideas other than walking?
