Orange Lake and closing costs

Hi,

I am in the middle of puchasing a unit at Orange Lakes. Unfortunatley the person I'm buying from doesn't know a lot about timeshares. Anyway, he is asking me to call the title company to find out the closing costs. On ebay, he quoted $100. Most other people are charging about $350. Does anyone know of a title company to do this. He also wants me to pay the taxes of $114 which are due this month for last year and I didn't even own it. The price was right on ebay, but may not be now.
Thanks

Taxes are included in the yearly bill from Orange Lake, so if he paid his yearly maintenance/taxes/etc. bill, he would have paid the taxes for 2008 and they are due soon for 2009. I always pay mine before December 31st. of each year. Something doesn't sound right with this seller, either he has no idea what he has or it is a scam.

Orange Lakes closing costs

I don't the the person knows a lot. Can't Orange Lakes take care of the resale transaction without using a closing company? Closing companies charge $350. If I can do it that way, I can put the money in escrow until it's legit.
Any thoughts or should I just look for another seller?

The "how to sell your TS" thread at the top of this board list several companies which close TSs. I'd start there.

Good Luck and Welcome to TUG
