updating this, it appears that VV/Vacatia are now offering owners a surrender option but it appears to be quite expensive with a hefty fee to surrender on top of 2x maintenance fees!

we would always suggest at least TRYING to give it away first even if you offer to pay the 2026 fees and find a buyer, thats still far cheaper than what they are charging to give it back! though no doubt many will pay the fee for the convenience factor of being completely done with it and not having to deal with anyone else.

even if every timeshare offered a solution like this, exit companies would dry up overnight!

vacatia recently purchased berkley group (which owns vacation village)
