I purchased 5k points at the LV Hilton earlier this year which came with 2007 rescued points which must be used by 12/31/08. I have booked Christmas week but am finding I cannot use. According to HGVC reps I cannot convert to HH, nor can I rescue points already rescued. What other options do I have not to lose those points? Thanks

Rent or Donate
You can donate the points to Wounded Soldiers Program. It is a program that Hilton participates, in which they take the points and provide free accommodation to families that are nursing back their wounded Soldier. Talk to the HGVC reservation specialist for more details.
Or, you can book a stay a X resort, for X number of nights, and try to rent it out.

Christmas week is a prime week, so try to rent it out first. Maybe you can have enough rental income to cover the MF.
