How likely is it that there will be availablity in open season for either early March in Miami or late March in Vegas at the Flamingo? I am considering reserving two nights during the weekend at these locations. We would only need a studio or one bedroom.

IMHO, the liklihood is for Vegas yes, Miami no.
March is still "high season" in South Florida, but you could get lucky.
Have you checked out club res availability? That could give a clue.

I am at Seawatch now on open season. I didn't see any availabilitly online but when I called, I was surprised that there was availability here as well as on Sanibel and Marco so don't rely on what you see online.

I live in Miami so I don't watch the open season there but it's worth calling just in case.

:hi:

Vegas has multiple large resorts with many rooms sizes, whereas South Beach has only one smaller (but really cool) resort with mostly 1brs and a few 2brs. So I would say Vegas likely, and South Beach maybe. The trick to open season is to be flexible with what unit size you will get - sometimes you have to get a bigger or smaller room than you want but the rates are good enough to justify it. You also want to be on at midnight ET 30 days out... I have been able to use open season often and it is one of my favorite features of the HGVC system.

Happy hunting !

I need two nights, do I need to wait until 30 days before the second night.
