I'm researching online fax services that port numbers and cost less than $10/month. (Yes, I still need to keep my business fax number for a lot of reasons.)

Does anyone have recent experience with any of these companies: Onlinefaxes.com, RingCentral, SRfax, Nextiva? Or can you recommend another one?

My wife has been using maxemail for maybe around ten years and really likes it.

We use RingCentral (and support it), and it works great. It's kinda hard to go wrong with such a simple service these days, for faxing. We had an account with Nextiva previously and left it for RC, and are happy we did. We get a free fax number with our VoIP account.

It is $10 per month (unfortunately not under $10) but I have been using MyFax for years. No issues at all. http://www.myfax.com/

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look at the others too.

I've been using MyFax since 2011 and it's works pretty good. The only time that I had a problem is when someone was actually waiting for a fax. I forget the circumstance, but I had to send something and the recipient was waiting. I uploaded the fax to the web-interface and then the fax was in the "queue" to be sent.... It took awhile and there was nothing customer service could do to make the fax send quicker.

My favorite feature is that I receive the faxes by email in PDF which is perfect for my purposes.

The cost hasn't increased since 2011, so I'm happy about that.
