One more bank perk gone

I have been dealing with the same bank physical location for 27 years. These banks have gone from a "home town" bank through a number of mergers and it is now part of Chase.

In the past, they (even after the Chase acqusition) have always provided free notary service for depositers. Yesterday I was told thier current policy is to only provide "Notary service" for bank related transaction.

I had to go to somewhere else and pay $10.

I just went and had the Chase Bank that I bank at notarize something last week. They did not charge me a dime, nor did they ask me if it was bank business.
