One Bedroom Marriott Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe Ca

Located at the base of Heavenly valley Ski resort is the Marriott Vacation Club Timber Lodge. The one bedroom has a pull out sofa. It has a full kitchen and a dining table for six people. the bathroom has a separate shower and jacuzzi tub, as well a large living room with a fireplace.

The resort has a nice pool and two separate three tubs. The fitness center is extensive and it is close to lots of nice restaurants and the casinos across the Nevada state line. Valet parking was included when I booked using Destination / ABOUND points.

Yes... It was... I asked for an upgrade, so they gave me the corner room... I thought that was especially nice... Don't forget to always ask for an upgrade... You never know what will happen. I've been staying at the Club Wyndham Vino Bello... Been booking a studio for two months (Sunday Thru Friday). Have been upgraded to a one bedroom every week (so far)... My luck may run out... But I ask every time and they do it every time.

The loft units and penthouse units are quite amazing. We got a 2br once that was 2000 sf. Same point cost as all other 2br but it’s a different category when you reserve.

Marriott doesn't do upgrades except in extenuating situations. On a timeshare stay get what you pay for, either with points or what you own. Sometimes you may get an upgrade based on Bonvoy status on a cash or Bonvoy point stay. A corner unit isn't necessarily an upgrade if it is the same unit type.

I hate to say it, but that is one reason I don't like Marriott... They are expensive and there is no upside... I book Marriott via Interval with my Worldmark.... So I often pay half price for a unit so it feels like an upgrade. Wyndham and Hilton treat elite owners comparatively well. This doesn't work in high demand areas, but does otherwise.

I just booked a one bedroom and asked for an upgrade... It was technically the same room class, just an end unit. At Club Wyndham, I am booking a studio and getting a one bedroom... Saving 40% of the points in the process
