Recently contacted by a company called Omni Ellis. They said they are a company with A+ rating with BBB. They said they are a law firm helping people get rid of timeshare contact. They demand up-front cost of course.

Did anyone hear about this company ? Any information about them ?

Thanks

There has been at least one discussion thread about this company. Try the Search function. That being said, for one thing, very few people here on TUG put any stock into BBB ratings. Some upfront fee scam companies apparently have A+ ratings with the BBB.

Secondly, most here on TUG would tell you to stay away from companies that demand a large, upfront fee. Once they have your fee, what's their incentive to do anything?

Thirdly, whether it's a law firm, charity, or some other company that claims it can rescue you from a timeshare, at worst, these are scams. At best, they will charge you thousands of dollars to do what you can do yourself for a lot less money. Have you tried asking the resort if it will take your TS back? Have you tried TUG's free giveaway in the Bargain Deals section?

Companies can buy a good rating with the BBB, and then just change names and buy a new good rating if they starting getting bad reviews for scamming people.

I know nothing of this company, but I would go with SCAM.

Red Flag #1- They called you.
Red Flag #2- Upfront Fee.

How many millions have they stolen over the past few years? An alert at the BBB along with an “F” rating. Almost 800 complaints. On top of all this, they are operating illegally since their LLC has been suspended. Someone put these people out of business and in JAIL!

OE has existed for many years before that too... its mind boggling.

Nobody has our backs. Nobody.

They can sell fake olive oil, harass us with robocalls, scam us with timeshare "exits" -- with impunity.

Sad but true. There is no doubt in my mind that this company was established with a sole purpose to fleece millions from timeshare owners. The fact that they have been able to do this since 2015 is frustrating as heck. They have almost 800 BBB complaints and after going through 100 or so I didn’t see even one that was answered by the company. They hyped their 18 month money back guarantee on their victims, something they never intended on following through on. As of now their website is inactive. The owners are long gone, probably lying on a beach somewhere holding an expensive drink, laughing over their riches and trying to come up with a new business name to scam more people.
