Second day of seven. The room is extremely nice having been updated recently. Very quiet, no train noise althought we are on opposite side from them. Free shuttles from hotel down to the water front and back every 20 minutes. Hotel is 17 blocks from waterfront with mulpitle stores, restaurants and bars up and down King street. This morning we completed a 30 mintue survey with member services and received a $100 certificate for dinner. Surprising no pressure to buy or upgrade. Sales rep very friendly and understanding, I feel he knew our answer would be no. Mertorail next door and plan on using it all week. So far highly recommend this location. Out of curiosity checked with Hampton Inn on rates two blocks away. Room only $115-140 per night and suites were $299 per night.

I like Old Town Alexandria much better than National Harbor. After all of the upgrades are done, if I was a buyer on the fixed week re-sale market, this is where I would be buying. I am pleased to hear the Sales Staff is settling down at that location. Are they still pitching National Harbor and if so, as part of Club Access or Wyndham Club Plus?
 
Can't wait to finally get to Alexandria for spring break next year. New York City Ballet is performing at KC when we are there. :cheer:

Save yourself the time looking - this is a points only location.

(I always am able to avoid the sales pitch - I just tell the "2 ladies" no upfront, and am done.)
