Ok, call us crazy ... our journey to 1 million HH points via HGV Owner Updates ...

Don’t want to derail this thread because I love ❤️ hearing how many points etc everyone has achieved etc
Here’s the recent update … spoke to another concierge at ocean 22 they won’t walk/update anyone from Bluegreen … they suggested I call Bluegreen Seaglass. I then called seaglass, great concierge booked us for $200 visa right away.

@JohnnyO , you have done HGVC OUs on RCI exchange too, as I recall?
(in fact, one of the rationales for HGVC often dumping excess inventory at RCI, is to attract fresh meat for the sales folks, so unusual for them to turn away fresh blood, unless they are tightening their sales targets to improve their VPG in '26.....)
Most, if not all, of our MarBrisa HGVC OU’s were via RCI exchange. They tickled themselves silly seeing us as RCI fresh meat and they could not figure we were owners (HGVC MarBrisa owners at that) based on the booking. We would tell them we were owners and have to give our owner information. At the end of the weeks stay we would have to remind them that we don’t get charged for parking, nor resort fees or activities and they would many times have to reverse our charges. The concierge’s would still offer us HGVC OU’s, as we were MarBrisa retail smallest package over a decade ago. Our multiple ownerships and EP status, all resale except MarBrisa, were always confusing to HGV concierge and sales staff. Several times the sales staff would argue with us about what we owned. Few figured it out and those were the most informative and pleasant OU’s.

Good on you. I think the Bluegreen ownership is the big issue for whatever reason. Why HGV would not want to really try to convert you to points and Max is very odd. Ask Bluegreen (HVC) and let us know. Probe and get info please.

That's so weird as I thought from the marketing presentation HGVs plan was to upgrade Bluegreen to DRI and then to HGVC. Maybe they don't want to "jump"? But IDK, that'd be like a GM dealer saying we won't let you test drive a Caddy because you own a Chevy and haven't traded it to a Buick first. Quite strange.

Well put. Trust me it makes no sense at all. I’ve saved my Hilton slip that the conceive gives you for your walk/update. I plan to show that to the sales representative at Bluegreen and see what they have to say about it. Very unusual circumstance.

maybe the BG salesforce complained that until a BG owner actually buys Diamond or HGVC pts that BG owner "belongs to them". maybe
In ALL mergers of companies that rely heavily on a hard-touch, human salesforce, trying to not make some portion feel discouraged or disenfranchised is a big part of the integration plan

At one point I had heard that some of the sales centers can sell all of the products, and other can only sell sell specific locations. No idea if that still true. Do the South Carolina resorts sell any of the other products or just the HGV locations in South Carolina? Maybe they won't accept any sort of trade in other than their own Strand Developed properties and just decided it was easier to only try and sell HGVC products to new prospects or existing owners.

Otherwise I suspect WaikikiFirst got it right.

They can sell other properties because they tried to push HVC trust point on me the last time that I was there.
