Oh boy. All of a sudden I have 2 DVC contracts pending ROFR

I personally think they'll walk the restrictions back eventually as I'm sure it's affecting the attractiveness of purchases of Riviera as a home resort.
The Riviera docs (as well as those at subsequent resorts) give DVC the ability to charge resale buyers a fee to waive the restrictions and have their deed treated as a direct purchase.

MVC, Vistana, and HGV all have similar programs in place that allow owners to enroll, retro, or upgrade their resale purchases by making additional purchases.

I expect that DVC will do something similar in the future.

So the Cabins are also resale restricted? I can not imagine someone wants to stay in a cabin for 50 years, no matter how many Mickey mice they put in it! Those resales will go below 30 I guess.

Really??? I had no idea the documents stated that! It would be AWESOME if DVC charged "junk" fees to be able to upgrade your DVC contract just like Marriott. I would 100% buy then.
