It's the layout and configuration: The two bedroom units which sleep 6 have a King bed in one bedroom, and two twin beds in the guest bedroom, plus the sleep sofa in the living room.

The two bedroom units which sleep 8 have a King bed in one bedroom, a King bed and sleep sofa in the guest room, plus the sleep sofa in the living room.

There is no diff b/t oceanview & oceanside @ Ocean Pointe. I have never heard the term "oceanview" used @ OP. Usually they say "Oceanfront" or "oceanside".
Generally, Oceanfront means that you are looking directly East @ The Atlantic Ocean (on higher floors where the view is not obstructed by trees) in Sailfish, Dolphin, Cobia, Pompano and Kingfish buildings. However, with respect to Kingfish "oceanfront" also looks south into the channel ( it is not a direct East oceanfront view).
Oceanside faces North and South in all but Kingfish.( & with Kingfish only North.)
At OP the buildings & windows are configured so that there is no true West view although from some units you can see the intracoastal to the west from your balcony.

The 2 bedroom unit that sleeps 6 is the master suite of the 3 bedroom lock-off units. All of these units are "ocean front" units. As mentioned the configuration is different as the 2 bedroom master suite of a 3 bedroom LO doesn't have the mini kitchen and doesn't have a sofa sleeper that can sleep the two additional people.

Almost. The 2 bedroom sleeps 6 is the master suite of a 3 bedroom unit. The 3 bedroom unit consists of a 2 bedroom sleeps 6 and a studio unit that sleeps 4. So the 2 bedroom unit that sleeps 6 is a lock out, it's just that it's the master suite of the 3 bedroom unit. So yes, that 2 bedroom unit isn't a LO in the manner that particular unit doesn't have a LO door between the master bedroom, living/dining area and kitchen and the guest bedroom but, it's still a LO in the sense that there is a door that seperates those two bedrooms from a third bedroom. The 3 bedroom units are all ocean front so any two bedroom that sleeps 6 would be ocean front.

The 2 bedroom sleeps 8 consists of a 1 bedroom master suite that sleeps 4 and a stuido unit that sleeps 4. Thus, when you combine those two units, you get a 2 bedroom unit that sleeps 8.The majority of these are ocean view but, in buildings 1 -4 there are 7 units per building (1 per floor) that are ocean front. However, since the majority of these units are oceanview your chances of getting an ocean front in this style are rather slim and, you can't identify which one should be an ocean front deposit and which one was deposited by the owner of an ocean view unit. I'm not certain how many of this style is considered ocean front in building 5, or Kingfish building, but, I'm sure there are more of this style that are considered ocean front in Kingfish than in buildings 1-4.
