Oceana Palms

Has anyone been to the presentation yet? We're heading down to Ocean Pointe in a couple of weeks as part as a preview for Oceana Palms. Am potentially interested in buying an EOY Marriott to complement our 160 DVC points. Obviously would look to buy resale, but am interested in what Marriott is offering in this dreadful economy.

Do you mean that Ocean Palms is offering for you to stay @ Ocean Pointe as part of the Sales Presentation for Oceana? I own @ Ocean Pointe so I am just curious.

Yep, 4 nights for $199. Same deal as we had at Horizons last spring.

smoothair - are you aware of the special 'Bring a Friend Weekends' that they're having for OP owners? $299 for Thursday-Sunday in a 2 BR villa, specific weekends, both couples must attend sales presentation, also includes a very nice Saturday night dinner out.

Marriott controls the Ocean Pointe weeks which are turned in for points, and it is these weeks that they use to rent by the night or for sales presentation packages.

I don't know how but I received both a paper invitation and an e-mail about it. there were four separate weekends (3 of them during silver time, 1 gold). Two that already passed were May & July. Two still coming up are early November & early December. If interested, PM your e-mail address to me and I'll forward the e-mail to you. (I still have it because I am thinking about the December weekend b/c my BD is that weekend.) I just need to find a couple (friends or family) that will commit to it!

Received an email and letter inviting to the preview. Similar to the way I was invited to Horizons/MGV. Anyway, looking forward to seeing OP as it seems to be one of the most loved MVCI properties.

Where did you hear this? Right now I can pull weeks at OP online in II with a non-Marriott from now through next July (with the exception of the 3 prime winter months), and II also has Getaways available there from now through December.
