I know that its a rather new development, but I am wondering about purchase prices on the secondary market. We just got back from a short trip there and loved it! The MF look to be higher than most Marriotts, and I am sure there is less inventory for sale, due to the transition to DC and the newness of the property.

The ROFR database only has one gold unit, and I would be looking for platinum. Anyone have any history on it?

We love our Ocean Pointe weeks, but might add a week here, if the price is right!

Thanks,

Mike

I think only about a quarter to a half of the first tower was ever sold as weeks. So the number of weeks out there for potential resale is small. Finding one won't be easy, gold would be easier than platinum. You may be better to buy a week elsewhere and try to trade in fairly regularly, or perhaps use the Florida Club to do so using your Ocean Pointe week.

I am pretty sure I saw a Platinum week sold in eBay around 9k late last year or early this year, but it is very rare and I haven't been able to spot one recently. (I ended up with buying an Ocena Pointe gold week on eBay and I own a Oceana Palms Platinum already from direct purchase)
