Ocean Pointe vs Oceana Palms

What’s the differences between these two resorts? They are pretty close to each other.

Ocean Pointe/Ocean Palms

We are looking into trading into Ocean Pointe or Ocean Palms towards the end of the year. It’s been several years since we’ve been to both. While I know they are only a mile apart, would you recommend one over the other?

Without kids, beach lovers, want nice balcony = Oceana Palms.

With kids, pool lovers, like large footprint resorts, don’t care about balconies = Ocean Pointe.

Outdoor dining near Singer Island

Planning a visit to Singer Island and we would prefer to eat mostly outside. Would appreciate some restaurant recommendations for outdoor dining on Singer Island or within a reasonable drive - as far as Palm Beach and Jupiter or so. Thanks in advance.

Oceana Palms is a tower style resort where Ocean Pointe is spread out in 5 buildings of 7 stories high. More of a campus outdoor feel at Ocean Pointe.

Oceana Palms has more of a boutique feeling. not such a great pool/hot tub scene. Maybe a little better bar/restaurant. A better marketplace. Better balconies. No lock-off units.

Ocean Points is older and the units have the old style layout with all units being either 2 or 3 bedroom units. It has more of a resort feel with several large pools and hot tubs. They have a decent bar/grill that is mostly outdoors.

We enjoy both for different reasons. Sometimes we enjoy the resort feeling. Sometimes the more luxurious feeling afford at Ocean Palms.

I ask because someone I met recently recommended the southern property of the two. She said it's less crowded & they like the atmosphere there.
