Does anyone have photos of the ocean front studio at Ocean Pointe? We have a week in the 3 Bedroom and have added two nights and am debating whether to keep the extra two nights in an ocean side 1 bedroom or to switch to oceanfront studio for the two nights.

No pictures as our reservation isn’t until October, but an ocean front studio would potentially allow you to not have to move rooms so that house be part of the decision if that’s important to you.

The floor plan and a few stock photos are available in the MVC app.
There’s a list of what’s in the unit too.
What are you looking to see in the photos?
I’ve stayed in a 2Br lockoff there- it’s a pretty typical MVC studio- kitchenette but no laundry, no range.

What is the view of your 3 br week? Are you just thinking you will move to the oceanfront studio for a better view those last 2 nights?

The 3 BR view is oceanfront. It is an Interval exchange and I understand the 3 BR villas are oceanfront so am thinking of move to OF studio for better view but also just an easier move if we would be in the same unit.

I'd switch to the studio OF and ask to stay in the same unit, esp if it's the first 2 nights.

Thanks for all the responses. We are spoiled with having the full 1 BR villas. We always ask ourselves if we could stay in a studio now that we’ve become accustomed to the larger units. We do like the extra space.

One other point I’d like to make about Ocean Pointe studios. They’re not well insulated. The one time we stayed in one, we could hear everything the neighbors in the one bedroom unit were doing. If they got up early there was no sleeping in for us. We own a 3 bedroom unit at Ocean Pointe. We eventually reached the point of booking the full 3 bedroom unit, even though we didn’t need it, just to avoid the hassle of neighbor noise so we could relax and enjoy time in our unit.

Also, keep in mind that just because you book a studio for 2 nights prior to your full week stay, there is no guarantee that you won’t still be required to change locations, maybe even change buildings. You might book a studio for the presumed convenience only to find out it wasn't convenient at all.

Yeah I would stay with a 1BR personally. I dislike staying in studios and avoid it whenever possible. A 1BR is far more comfortable. I value the space of a 1-bedroom over the better view from a studio in your scenario.

We stay every year for a week in a studio then following week in the 1BR part. We have always stayed in the same building both weeks but never got the other part of the 2BR condo. And we've asked.

I believe this is quite a bit different than the OP's situation. In your case they have to do a full cleaning on both units and you have to move all of your things to allow them access to the first weeks unit. For the OP this would not be the case. I've had similar situations to the OP including at Ocean Pointe and Aruba Surf Club and never had to move. Granted it was only one data points for OP but 2 or 3 for SC. Now SC does have a policy where you can stay in one unit until the other is ready even if you're moving units as does HHI across the island even one resort to another. I do not believe OP has the same policy though I am not certain.

We had an oceanfront 1 bedroom via exchange at Ocean Pointe in June. It was definitely oceanfront and a lockoff from another unit, which may have been a two bedroom or another 1 bedroom on that side. We couldn't see it at all. We were assigned to the first floor. Not all that great.

Ocean Pointe only has 2 bedroom units that lock off to a 1 bedroom + studio or 3 bedroom units that lock off to a 2 bedroom + studio. The 3 bedroom master suite has one bedroom with a king size bed and the second bedroom is smaller and has 2 twin size beds.

If you had a 1 bedroom unit, it was the master suite of a 2 bedroom lock off
