I was surprised when I saw an email this morning telling me about an upcoming stay. I logged in and saw that both W 57th and HCNY were reopening July 16th. A stay I booked several months ago for July, and canceled in March, was rebooked.

and on another note, the Met is opening August 29th

I booked the Quin for beginning of September, so I’ll use that as my first NYC trip.

Cool. We have a trip in early September and no notification. But the Met timing is great as we are members, so will look forward to going.

Cheers.

FYI...looks like travelers will keep track of quarantine rules by state. So far Calif is not on the list. What happens if you are mid-trip and they add the state? Other than Southwest, in which you can cancel 10 minute prior, will HGVC and airlines refund you if your state is added to the list, or your state adds restrictions returning from NYC after purchase and you need to cancel? Complicated.

I guess if you are driving across the country you now zig zag around a state that the state you are going to has under quarantine ... or say you did if you are not fully honest.

Do you have any references that indicate any of these mandatory quarantines apply to those in transit and not planning on staying in the state? I haven't seen that requirement for any of the contiguous 48 states, but haven't seen every state's specific orders either.

Come visit California, but wear a mask please.

Newsom also expressed sympathy for governors in Arizona, as well as Texas and Florida, states that are experiencing high rates of COVID-19.

“If, as governors, we’re not humbled, we should be,” he said. “I think we would do a disservice to each other if we’re not humbled by the conditions that persist in different parts of this country.”

It appears to me that it’s only W 57th St opening on 7/16. Am I missing something?

References? I am just a man on a bulletin board banging away on a keyboard and no substitute for good legal advice on this topic. Simply reacting to sensational news stories and what others post in my comments on this thread. In most threads I try to do better.

I double checked and it only shows W 57th for 7/16, but a trip I had at HCNY was put back after I canceled. HCNY shows **TBD** on website.

Our reservation at NYHC was cancelled for 7/19-7/22. In May. I switched the reservation to 57th Street. It seems NYHC was available from 7/23.

I booked Chicago for August back on June 1st. It’s still listed as TBD.
