Since I am new to the Atlanta area I need some help. What area up in the Northern part of Georgia is nice for the summer? Is it cooler? Which resorts are nice. I looked at some of the reviews.

We go to Helen the first weekend in June every year for the hot air balloon race. We stay in a hotel, so I'm not familiar with the resorts there.
It IS generally a bit cooler up there.

I own weeks # 17 & 18 at the Country Hideaway in Cleveland, GA, near Helen... this is a large, mixed-use complex with a lot of amenities... timeshare units (including the Alpine Ranch resort) are available at VERY reasonable prices... you could buy a unit and be eligible for additional bonus time for year-around use..
