North Carolina passes laws to regulate Timeshare Exit companies

Most certainly. It would seem odd that a company like Amazon would support higher minimum wage, but they do. The reason is because they know their smaller competitors are less likely to survive, making less competition for them. They can easily afford the higher wage and when the competition is gone, they can raise the prices.

Another reason Amazon and Wal Mart support raising the minimum wage, is people earning it are likely going to spend all they make. They like customers with more income that are likely to give them more business.

But if as dioxide45 asserts, raising the minimum wage will put some small companies out of business (and some workers out of a job) with a corresponding decrease in aggregate income. This has always been the knock against increasing the minimum wage -- it puts marginally productive workers out of work. (This is an economic, not political, argument.)

If $15/hour becomes the new minimum wage then eventually all prices will also go up. $15 Whopper or Big Mac. Eventually $15/hour will become the new poverty level.

I wish someone in the NC legislation either in their House or Senate would look into how timeshares salesperson are preying on senior citizens to buy a timeshare or to upgrade their purchase?
