I bet the answer is in the hundred of other threads, but here goes.

I had my parents title transferred to me when they decided not to travel anymore. I paid to carry forward their unused 2024 balance. My account says I have 16k points. Under "Your Home Week" I have a 2br in Tuscany Village, Orlando. It also says 8k points there. I did a time share presentation between agreeing to buy their title and the paperwork/fees getting processed. There, our nice introductory lady stated that my "home week" is worth an additional 8000 points on top of the annual 8k and that there is a why to transfer my home week to my points balance for a total of 16k per year. I have no idea if this is true or how to do it if so. I am trying to save points for an international trip next calendar year and obviously, forwarding 16k is better than 8k.

Are must mean that you have your saved 2024 8,000 points and then you 2025 8,000 points. Nothing really to do with your HW other than, you can book HW with your 2025 points but it uses all your points and is exactly what you own in the season that you own in. Since you have 8,000 points, then you must have a 2 bed gold season deed so that is what you would have to book and on the exact check in day for 7 days. If you want anything else, then you need to book on the club reservation window which is 9 months. Tuscany Village isn't hard to book though so booking something else won't be hard. Or, you can use those points at other HGVC properties

So to understand.... my 8000 points per year is either for 1 week at Tuscany Village or anywhere else? They are not two separate entities?

If you use your HW, then it uses all of your annual points, in your case, 8k but if you don't use HW, you can mix and match as much as you want to use them up. You can get any size unit, any property, and it doesn't have to be a week. It can be 3 days or whatever. You can even book 1 day in some of the by Hilton Club properties. So it is up to you on how you want to use them.

Look through the club rules and at the properties so that you can see the amount of points needed for stays by property/season. https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/2025-hgvc-hcny-hgv-max-club-rules-fees-and-tips.347868/

Also, at the end of the post, at that link, look at #6 and the HGVC Portal guide. It will help you on how to use the portal to book, plus RCI. When you go into RCI, it will show you 3 years worth of points and if you book, it will automatically pull from your HGVC account. Just make sure to read reviews about the properties, if they aren't HGVC, and look at the fees section. Some have resort fees. RCI can be a good deal, especially for by Hilton Club properties, like in NYC but there are also some dogs...like the all inclusive properties. If you want one of them, you are better off going through someplace like Costco.

Here is what I mean on RCI for bHC properties:

Here is a week at W57th in a studio for next January in RCI (you access it via the link in your HGV portal). Only 3,840 points for a studio but if you look in the rules guide, a week is 6,000 points if you book that same week via HGVC. If you find a week in Platinum season, it is even more of a savings since it would still be 3,840 points but via HGVC, it is 8,400 for a week.

Here is the points guide for W57th

And to add, from the rules guide, you can see all the properties and their rooms by season. Here is Tuscany and you can see your 8,000 pt 2 bed during gold season but you can use your points for 1 bed or studio or a 3 bed but less than a week. You can see the nightly point rates on these charts also to see if how many nights you can get.

Also, there is a sale on properties right now so you can use less points if you book one through it. This is in the HGVC portal.

OP, if you have points available, you need to start booking.

Did you buy something from the developer at your owner update?
