NIKON in space!

I'm somewhat surprised Sony hasn't paid NASA off like all the Youtube influencers... I'm a Canon guy though.

We gave away all of our high end cameras years ago because it is just so much easier to use our phones. @simpsontruckdriver nice article.

Plus, I gave away all of Nikon lens. Yes! It is easier to use the cellphone, but I still missed my Nikon cameras and the quality of photos.

My wife took photography years ago and our good quality cameras were hers. Back then my good camera was a Polaroid Instamatic. :)

Surprise they still have an old DSLR around. Obviously Canon is a superior camera. If it was SpaceX you'd have to pay for that 'plug' !

But yes, when traveling I just use my cell phone. I only use the big rig for birds and wildlife

Come on Bill, a Polaroid Instamatic camera; took, I think 3x4 photos.
What that the Polaroid camera that took color photos or just black & white photos? That is old technology .

Mine was color. I've had a few. Before My Space it was really nifty, lol.

Along those same lines, Disney World (and I assume other Disney parks) sold off their Nikon cameras and switched to Sony. For years, Nikon was the official camera of Disney, they let that "contract" lapse. I doubt it was quality, I think it was cost.

Nikon makes great cameras and lenses, but I've been a Canon guy for over 50 years, starting with an FTb single-lens reflex in 1974. I still have all my cameras, plus some other makes and models I've collected over the years, including an early Eastman Kodak No. 3 Folding Pocket Model C that is over 120 years old. My current Canon is an EOS 70D DSLR.

But I agree, when I'm travelling these days by plane I rarely take my good camera and accessory bag with me anymore. Other than for specialty shots, phone cameras are great and much more compact for taking "tourist" snapshots. I also have a Polaroid in my collection that I used back in the day when I wanted an "instant" photo.
