Same here. We have used it in Hawaii the last 10 yrs.
The salesperson at our last owner's update in Maui said that Marriott will eventually close that loophole once and for all at they've indicated with the Abound points allocations. I said they'll never chance incurring the wrath of the SVN/SO community but he said 'watch this space'. His lips were moving though!

I've wondered how long the $10K/$5K retro offer would remain. I've also heard that they will stop selling Westin and Sheraton Flex too once they sell out. I still think they will always offer those products to existing owners as long as they are still getting Flex deed back through their various methods of re-aquiring inventory. It may take more know how and asking about the Flex to be able to buy it, but I suspect it will be an option for a long time to come.

IMHO, there is a great value in buying a resale TS at a resort you want to visit regularly. WKR is a prefect example for someone
who likes to visit the Phoenix area.

In my case, I found great value in buying a resale week at the Marriott resort in Newport Beach (NCV) because we want to visit at least a couple weeks a year. We also have found that in the off season, we can trade our non marriott weeks for a stay at NCV.
