You cannot deposit a reservation made with Staroptions at all - you can only deposit exactly what you own.
Once you deposit a week with II, it's gone and you can't get it back.
You can cancel a Staroptions exchange and try for another one, but if you don't make your reservation right at 8 mos. (the earliest allowed) it may not be available later. In fact, if you haven't made your Staroptions exchange for Aug. 8th yet, you should do it ASAP, because you are past the 8 mo. mark, which would have been Dec. 8th.
